ABOUT THE MURAL

In 2015, Public Art Chattanooga commissioned a mural to depict the past, present, and future vision for the city’s M.L. King District. The mural covers 42,179 square feet and was painted by a team of 11 artists led by Meg Saligman. It is titled “The M.L. King Mural: We Will Not Be Satisfied Until” and located at 300 East Martin Luther King Boulevard in Chattanooga, TN. See more initiatives from Public Art Chattanooga here

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Meg Saligman Studios is a public art studio based in Philadelphia with over 25 years of experience in mixed media public artwork. The studio has received international attention for its large-scale projects that are site specific, collaborative, and often depict community members with intricate detail. ABOUT THE FILM

Tyler Jones (Director/Editor) and Mark Slagle (Producer) are founding members of 1504, a multimedia studio that designs and produces narrative content. Its members have developed commercials, music videos, and documentaries for the National Endowment for Arts, American Red Cross, and Southern Foodways Alliance. This film is presented by 1504 with generous grant funding provided by the Benwood Foundation and Lyndhurst Foundation.
